The symbols of Oprisavci is prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi općine Oprisavci, adopted on 6 April 2005 by the Municipality Assembly.
The symbols are described in the Municipal Statutes Statut općine Oprisavci, adopted on 6 April 2005 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 25 May 2005 in the County official gazette Službeni vjesnik Brodsko-posavske županije, No. 8. This is repeated in the Municipal Statutes Statut općine Oprisavci, adopted on 25 January 2006 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 14 February 2006 in Službeni vjesnik Brodsko-posavske županije, No. 1, and in the current Municipal Statutes Statut općine Oprisavci, adopted on 29 July 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 26 August 2009 in Službeni vjesnik Brodsko-posavske županije, No. 11 (text).
The 2009 Statutes mention a ceremonial flag, which is not described.
The design of the symbols was a joint effort of the municipality administration, led by Mayor Franjo Klenuk. The symbols were approved on 2 June 2005 by the Central State Office for Administration.
The flag is described in Article 9 of the Decision, as follows:
The flag of the municipality of Oprisavci is monocoloured, blue, with a ratio of length to width of 2:1, in accordance with legal prescriptions. In the centre of the flag, at the crossing point of the diagonals is the coat of arms of the municipality of Oprisavci.
The official approval states that there should be a yellow outline around the coat of arms in the flag.

The coat of arms is described in the aforementioned Decision, as follows:
The coat of arms of the Municipality of Oprisavci is of a shield shape. The geometrical division of the shield is a shield within a shield; in the heart of the shield is a draw well, and in the border of the shield, and between the small and the large shields is a figure of a waterclover [Marsilea quadrifolia L.] leaf.
The central part (heart) of the shield is blue. The border of the shield, the part between the small and the large shields is coloured white. The figure of the draw well is white (silver). The figure of the clover leaf is green.
While the description does not state the number of leaf figures (indeed the singular form is used), the official approval states there are 12 leaves. The number was eventually inserted in the description of the arms in the 2009 and 2013 Statutes.
The meaning of the coat of arms is given in Decision Odluka o prihvaćanju Idejnog rješenja Grba Općine Oprisavci, adopted on 6 April 2005 by the Municipality Assembly, as follows:
The central charge in the coat of arms (in the small shield) is a draw well [đeram], representing a symbol of life, tradition and survival of the settlements of the Municipality of Oprisavci.
The draw well represents a symbol from which the inhabitants and animals obtained water.
The leaf of waterclover represents a characteristic plant - waterclover, representing geographical characteristics of the municipality, such as the natural protected reserve of the Gajna pasture and the large flatlands, grassy and forest areas permeated by river Sava, as well as its hinterland marshy waters and its flora, among which waterclover is the most characteristic, indeed.
The blue colour in the central (small shield) symbolizes water as the source of life and the geographic characteristic of the settlements of the Municipality of Oprisavci (river Sava with the hinterland waters).
The waterclover leaf is green, symbolizing the grassy flatlands, colour of the homeland, its pastures, meadows, forests and marshes. The flag colour is blue, derived from the colour of the arms and hes the same symbolic as the blue in the coat of arms.
