Flag of Strahoninec

The symbols of Strahoninec were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka, and approved by the Ministry of Administration / Central State Office for Administration before 2006.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, red with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms is "Azure a whip embowed-counterembowed or and in base a stump eradicated also or".
The whip alludes to the name of the municipality, strah meaning "fear", and the whip forms a letter "S".

The symbols of Strahoninec reported on 12 November 2003 in the local newspaper Međimurske novine (Dobili grb, zastavu i dva nova vjećnika) were proposals, with reverted colors, blue for the flag and red for the field of the coat of arms.
