Flag

The flag was presented in a corporate session by Vice Mayor Gloria Marina Zelaya for its approval in Act No. 08-2021, point 12.3. Over a white field, in the center is a band with the colors green, yellow, blue, green; these are the colors of nature, beach, and sea. In the center is a circular device, with a map of the municipality overlaid on the area. Above this is a fisherman in a boat; looking over him is the sun. Within the map of the municipality (in green) is a palm tree, bamboo, bananas, a cattle head, a lychee, and a Spanish coat of arms. These are symbols of the local economy, history, and nature. Below the circular device are the words "MUNICIPIO DE TELA".
