Presentation of Grevena

The municipality of Grevena (Γρεβενά; 25,905 inhabitants in 2011; 46,140 ha) was formed in the 2011 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities of Agios Kosmas (Άγιος Κοσμάς, 870 inh.), Avdella (Αβδέλλα, 280 inh.), Dotsiko (Δοτσικό, 39 inh.), Filippaioi (Φιλιππαίοι, 179 inh.), Gorgiani (Γόργιανη, 885 inh.), Grevena (17,610 inh.), Irakleotes (Ηρακλεώτες, 1,890 inh.), Mesolouri (Μεσολούρι, 33 inh.), Perivoli (Περιβόλι, 21 inh.), Samarina (Σαμαρίνα, 378 inh.), Smixi (Σμίξη, 454 inh.), Theodoros Ziakas (Θεόδωρος Ζιάκας, 1,297 inh.), and Ventzio (Βέντζιο, 1,969 inh.).
