Introduction

"Real Círculo de Labradores y Propietarios de Sevilla," mostly known as "Real Círculo de Labradores," is the sucessor of "Círculo de Labradores y Propietarios de Sevilla," founded nearly 150 years ago and one of the oldest sports clubs in Spain; the title of "Real" was granted by King Alfonso XIII on 10 April 1917. The first statutes of the club were adopted on 1 June 1923. Today the club has basketball, futsal (indoor football), canoeing, rowing, table tennis and pádel sections.

Description

According to the Nautic Portal "Masmar," "Real Círculo de Labradores" won on 16-17 December 2006 the flag and the trophy of "II Gran Abierto Internacional de Andalucia" (IInd Grand International Open of Andalucía), during which 900 rowers from 45 national and international clubs competed in 149 regattas. A photograph shows the winners proudly posing with the club flag, which is quarterly divided red-blue by a white cross. Red and blue are the club's colours. The oars are horizontally divided red-blue, as shown on a photograph on the club's website, which partially shows the flag as quarterly divided blue-red, probably displayed upside-down. A graphic on the main page of the club's website confirms this as the correct placement of the colours. In the background on the photograph, rowers of the winner club hold what is probably the flag awarded to the winners, apparently the flag of Andalusia (horizontally divided green-white-green) with some golden writing and an emblem in the white stripe.
