The municipality of Torremocha de Jarama (926 inhabitants in 2014; 1,849 ha) is located in the north-east of the Community of Madrid, on the border with Castilla-La Mancha (Province of Guadalajara), 60 km of Madrid.

Symbols of Torremocha de Jarama

The flag (photos, photo) and arms of Torremocha del Jarama are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 28 July 1988 by the Government of the Community of Madrid and published on 26 January 1989 in the official gazette of the Community of Madrid, No. 22, p. 3 (text) and on 11 February 1989 in the Spanish official gazette, No. 36, p. 4,234 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Red with the coat of arms of the municipality in the center.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Azure a tower [torre] ruined [desmochada] on waves argent, 2. Or five eight-pointed stars azure per saltire. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
