The municipality of Torrenueva (2,752 inhabitants in 2018; 14,415 ha) is located 80 km south-east of Ciudad Real and 20 km south of Valdepeñas.

Symbols of Torrenueva

The flag of Torrenueva (photos) is prescribed by an Order issued on 27 June 2001 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 13 July 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 79, p. 8,566 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, vertically divided in two equal parts, at hoist, yellow, at fly, green. Superimposed in the center with the crowned coat of arms of the town.

The coat of arms of Torrenueva is prescribed by Decree No. 1,075 issued on 24 April 1975 by the Spanish Government and published on 16 May 1975 in the Spanish official gazette, No. 117, p. 10,200 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Vert a tower or port and windows gules masoned sable, 2. Gules two caldrons chequered or and sable with snakes vert issuant from the handles in pale. Inescutcheon Argent a Cross of Saint James gules. The shield surmounted by a Spanish Royal Crown.
