Coat of Arms

image from Facebook, located 11 July 2024

The coat of arms has fourteen stars for the fourteen communities, which are: El Paoso, Bayán, Belén, Jerusalén, Cochapata Town, Chalcay, Tamboviejo, Las Lajas, Ulucata, Buravalle, El Rodeo, Yanasacha, Ñamarín and Uduzhapa.

In the lower half of the shield it depicts a typical house, crops grown in the area, livestock, and mining tools. In the upper half is the church of Cochapata, a grassland with trees on it, the area's rolling hills, clouds, and a trail cutting across presumably to the entrance of the town. Above this is a triangular third, reading "DIOS MIO BENDICE A COCHAPATA" (My God, bless Cochapata). These words surround what looks like a statue of Buddha, though I think it is supposed to be a representation of God.
