The companies in this page probably have just the name in common

Rhenania Allgemeine Speditions-Aktiengesellschaft

For starters, said flag, life size, see also the drawing used by the Binnenvaart site (NL). A description of the former house flag: white field, light blue cross throughout, a yellow ring (with black holding lines) in the centre enclosing the Bavarian lozenges which, as we know, are white and light blue.
Source: German eBay offer no. 220073019601 (end 28 Jan 2007) put up by "ohndangdang", dimensions given as 100 cm x 150 cm.
The version shown on the Binnenvaart site has much more lozenges and the ring fits neatly inside the cross, consistent with the image shown by "Flaggen auf dem Rhein" (1952 ed.).
Interestingly, this book lists no less than four (related) companies flying this flag:
- Rhenania Allgemeine Speditions-Aktiengesellschaft (i.e. Rhenania General Forwarding Co.) at Duisburg
-Rhenania Schiffahrts- & Speditions-Gesellschaft m.b.H. (i.e. Rhenania Shipping and Forwarding Co.) at Mannheim
- Rhenania Wormser Lagerhaus- & Transport-G.m.b.H. (i.e. Rhenania Worms Warehousing and Transport Co.) at Worms
- Münchener Lagerhaus- und Transport-G.m.b.H. (i.e. Munich Warehousing and Transport Co.) at Munich.
"Binnenvaart lists at least two more, Rhenania Verwaltungs GmbH (i.e. Rhenania Management Co.) at Mannheim and Rhenania AG at Basel, Switzerland.

[Wincanton branch Rhenania] image by Eugene Ipavec, 24 June 2009

This 22 Sep 2008 article (obsolete link: www.presseanzeiger.de/meldungen/logistik-verkehr/260459.php / in German) presents Wincanton, a British logistics enterprise, celebrating a German centenary inland shipping company "Rhenania", founded in 1908, was taken over in 2003: Wincanton presence in Germany: Shipping proper is considered under intermodal transport and includes: Ro-ro barge services - Conventional barges - Container barge shipping (...) - Container terminal operation - Deep sea forwarding / management (...) Inland port management.
A specific house flag was shown on a German inland shipping discussion site: currently unreachable: Dark blue with a modified Wincanton brand: a white oval bears a dark blue oval rim, getting thinner at upper right and lower left, enclosing the company name "Wincanton" in dark blue italic letters, twice underlined by a light blue and a dark blue stripe, respectively (the stripes are pointed at the right end); at lower left, still enclosed withtin the rim but subordinate, is placed the name "Rhenania" in light blue italic letters.
This flag is almost certainly no longer used, at least officially.

The company was based in Duisburg-Homberg. The flag was red, in a white lozenge was a black inscription "RG". According to Klaus-Peter Bühne the company had a loose cooperation with Mainschiffahrts Genossenschaft (MSG) between 1928 and 1937.
