Winterbach Banner

The red shield is divided by a silver (= white) fess wavy. Above is a golden (= yellow) coronet. Below is a winegrover's knife of the same colour with a silver (= white) blade.
Meaning:
The knife, lying under an initial "W", had been a local symbol on border stones already since 1686. Since 1822 the knife is depicted upright on local seals. The fess wavy is a canting element, representing the name giving creek. The coronet reminds on the visits of King Heinrich III in 1046 and 1048.

Banner and coat of arms were approved on 3 September 1963 by minister of interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 687/1963. The flag officially should be white - red.
