Obing Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent an initial "A" Sable intertwined with a reversed initial "A" of the same, at sinister sinister bendy of six of Or and Sable.
Meaning:
The initials are taken from the arms of the Lords of Obing, who had been in service of the Bavarian Dukes in Wasserburg and Kling in the 13th and 14th century. The existence of the kin is proven by documents of the Benedictine Ebersberg Monastery since the 10th century as commissionaires of the Falkenstein kin. The sinister half is taken from the personal arms of Kolumban Freidlsperger, abbot of the Benedictine Seeon Monastery, who acquired the local district (Bavarian: Hofmark) on behalf of the abbey in 1606. Obing belonged to the monastery until 1803.
