Ostrach Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Argent a spearhead Gules in bend, beneath Sable, a bend chequered of Gules and Argent.
Meaning:
The arms are those of the namesake predecessor, approved in 1947. The spear head was taken from the seal of the local nobleman Heinrich Swende of Ostrach from 1309. The Cistercian bend is taken from the arms of Salem Abbey, to which all former villages in Ostrach had close relationships.
