Hügelsheim Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Or a fess Gules, at sinister Azure an own-brand Gules.
Meaning:
The dexter half displays the arms of the Lords of Geroldseck, local rulers in the 14th and 15th century. The sinister half displays a local symbol. Its existence is proven in 1773 on a local court seal. Seals from the 19th century displayed the symbol erroneously as an orb. Though the meaning of the symbol is not really known, it is considered to be a gridiron, the attribute of St. Lawrence, the local patron saint.

The banner was approved on 24 June 1985 by the county administration, published in GABl 312/1986.
