Mitterskirchen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Gules a fess bretessed Argent charged with a bar wavy Azure, beneath Argent two connected staffs Azure one in bend and one in bend sinister, and carved at their outer edges.
Meaning:
Fess and base are taken from the arms of the Counts of Haunsberg. A relief of their arms is in the local parish church. The kin embossed local affairs in the 2nd half of the 16th century as rulers of the Mitterskirchen district (Bavarian: Hofmark). The bar wavy is a referring to the location in the valley of the Gera River.
