Mönsheim Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, an embattled tower Argent with cone roof on a triplemount Vert, issuant from base.
Meaning:
The arms are based on the oldest local seal with prints since 1598. The seal already displayed the current pattern. In the 19th century the tower was replaced by a castle with three towers. The current pattern was restored in 1930. The donjon of Diepoldsburg castle is still in the municipality. The castle was first mentioned in 1291 and was given to the municipality in the end of the 15th century by Duke Eberhard of Württemberg. Probably the municipality stressed its ownership of the castle in its seals since the 15th century. The triplemount is just a decorating ornament. The tinctures were probably fixed in 1930.
