Bidingen Coat of Arms

Triangular shield Gules three embowed fillets Argent.
Meaning:
The fillets are taken from the arms of the Lords of Bidingen, whose existence is proven between 1256 and 1341. As the tinctures of their arms had been unknown, those of the Bishopric of Augsburg were chosen instead. The bishopric acquired the village and its cognisance in 1506. It had had the patronage over the local parish church already since 1220. The municipality remained a possession of the bishopric until 1803.
