Oberroth Coat of Arms

Shield Or a crozier issuant Gules, mantled Gules, at dexter charged with a fess wavy Argent, at sinister charged with a demi-eagle Argent couped per pale.
Meaning:
The crozier is alluding to the Bishopric of Augsburg, which owned large estates in the village, donated by Wolfhart of Roth (1288 bis 1302), Bishop of Augsburg. The fess wavy is taken from the family arms of the Roth kin and refers to the location in the valley of the namesake river. The demi-eagle is taken from the arms of Ottobeuren Abbey, representative for the numerous local landlords.
