Meaning:
Schwaig near Nürnberg was established in 1976 by a merger of Schwaig and Behringersdorf. The epithet was added already in 1960. The bees are taken from the municipal arms of Schwaig. They are alluding to the estates of the Zeidler kin. Its members had been beekeepers of the Free Imperial City of Nürnberg and owned estates and the local forest. The burning branches are taken from the family arms of the patrician Schürstab family from Nürnberg and are canting for the name of the kin. It had been an important manorial lord in Behringersdorf between 1319 and 1514. A Schürstab is a stick in order to spark a fire.
