Meaning:
The current municipality was established in 1975 by a merger of Illesheim proper, Urfersheim and Westheim. The wheel is taken from the arms of the Barons of Berlichingen, who owned large estates in Illesheim. The knife is an attribute of St. Bartholomew, patron saint of the parish church in Urfersheim. The cross staff is an attribute of St. Humbert, Bishop of Würzburg and patron saint of the parish church in Westheim.
