Igling Coat of Arms

Shield Sable, issuant from base a triplemount Or, issuant from chief nebuly Argent three flames Or.
Meaning:
The arms are the family arms of the Donnersberg family from München. The arms are canting, symbolising a thunderstorm over a mountain. In 1611 Duke Maximilian of Bayern granted the Oberigling district to his supreme chancellor Joachim of Donnersberg and granted the incorporation of the Unterigling district as a fiefdom. The family owned both districts since 1835 and boosted the districts by construction activities, e.g. Igling Castle but also churches and chapels.
