Coat of Arms

Shield Azure parted by a fess wavy Argent, above a kite statant reguadant Or with spread wings, beneath a minuscule "n" Or topped by a crosslet of the same.
Meaning:
The fess wavy is a representation of the name giving creek. Karbach was first mentioned in the 8th century, when it was donated to the Fulda Imperial Abbey. Around 812 it was donated to the Dominican Neustadt Nunnery, symbolised by minuscule and crosslet, the symbol of the nunnery and by the tinctures blue and golden from the nunnery's arms. The kite is an endemic bird in the region and is also alluding to the well-known model aeroplane shows in Karbach.
