Herrngiersdorf Coat of Arms

Shield Azure with base wavy Argent and a swan najant of the same, in chief parted by a fess dancetty Argent.
Meaning:
The swan is a differentiation of the arms of the Barons of Guggemos, whose arms displayed a swan swimming through reed. The barons owned the local district (Bavarian: Hofmark) between 1654 and 1822. The fess dancetty is taken from the arms of the Benedictine Geisenfeld Nunnery, to which the former Sandsbach Muncipality belonged as a provostry and a district (Bavarian: Hofmark) between 1043 and 1803.
