Leupoldsgrün Coat of Arms

Shield Vert, issuant from sinister an angled armed arm Argent, holding a staff Sable with ends Or in pale, on sinister chief an inescutcheon Argent, charged with a pale Azure.
Meaning:
The current municipality was established in 1972 by a merger of Leupoldsgrün proper and Lipperts. The inescutcheon displays the family arms of the Lords of Lüchau, who owned Lipperts since 1354. They also founded the villages Leupoldsgrün and Hartungs. The armed arm is a differentiation of the family arms of the Baum kinof Baumsdorf , who inherited the area in 1669. Their family arms displayed a warrior in armour. The family died out in 1725 and its members are buried in the parish church of LeupoldsgLürün. The green (German: grLün) colour is canting.
