The Northern District (Stadtbezirk Nord) is more or less an arbitrary collection of city boroughs, created by the intention to have district of roughly equal size.
It has no proper symbols. And also the symbols of its boroughs have no official status.

Shield Gules an eradicated oak Argent leafed Vert, flanked at dexter by the former arms of Holstein (shield parted per fess of Argent and Gules on a nettle leaf Argent)
and the arms of Hamburg, both without shield.
Meaning:
The oak (realised as grey) is a representation of the local oak of piece (German: Friedenseiche).
Both arms refer to the fact that Langenhorn was sold on 25 January 1332 by Count Adolf VII of Holstein from the Schaumburg kin,
to the alderman Nicolaus vom Berge, who became later the mayor of Hamburg.
