On 4 September 2011 the counties of Ostvorpommern and Uecker-Randow merged with the city of Greifswald, the seat of the new county is Greifswald. The new county has not yet a proper flag.

Shield Or, a griffin rampant Sable tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The black griffin was the variant of the heraldic animal of the Dukes of Pommern-Wolgast and the Lords of Barth as well. The former ruled parts the area until 1372, the latter until 1378. The current arms are not based on the usual patterns from the 15th and 16th century. They follow instead the version approved in 1929 by Prussian Minister of State.

It is a horizontal 5-stipes flag red-white-blue-white-red with ratio of stripes approx. 5:5:1:5:5 and centred arms.

Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, issuant from base an embattled tower Gules masoned Sable in tapering structure with cone roof of the same and windows Sable, flanked by an impending griffin rampant Gules armed Or at dexter and an impending eagle Gules armed Or at sinister.
Meaning:
The tower is representing the tower called "Kiek in de Mark", which means "look into the marsh (of Brandenburg)". It was a part of the fortification of Pasewalk City and had been built in 1445 and played a role during the unsuccessful siege of the city by Brandenburg in 1469. The city was conquered and reconquered various times by the Dukes of Pommern and the Margraves of Brandenburg from the 13th until the 15th century. Griffin and eagle also allude to the struggles between both opponents. The base wavy is referring to the Stettin Lagoon and the barrulets wavy Argent are representing the name giving rivers Uecker and Randow.

It was a blue-white-blue horizontal triband with ratio of stripes 1:3:1. The coat of arms was in the middle of the white stripe.

Ückermünde County Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale; at dexter parted per fess, above Azure a sailing boat Argent, surrounded by two birds volant of the same and a fish Argent finned Gules, beneath Argent hammer and mallet Sable in saltire; at sinister Argent a griffin rampant Gules armed Or.
Meaning:
The griffin is the heraldic animal of Pommern, to which the county historically belonged. The blue quarter above left is representing the Stettin Lagoon, sailing, tourism and fishery. The white quarter is representing the iron mongery in the Torgelow area.

The arms were approved on 8 December 1992 by Minister of Interior of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and published in the Municipal Roll of Arms Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as no.39. May be the flag had never been approved officially. The symbols were abolished on 12 June 1994, when the county became a part of Uecker-Randow County.
