Mittelstetten Coat of Arms

Shield parted by an arrow Argent in pale, at dexter Gules a wing Argent, at sinister Vert a bar wavy Argent, superimposed by a hayfork Argent in pale issuant from a spade's blade of the same.
Meaning:
The arrow is an attribute of St. Sebastian, local patron saint of Oberdorf. The wing is taken from the arms of the Counts of Hundt in Lauterbach, who owned estates in the area since the 16th century. The bar wavy is representing the fountain of the Glonn River. The fork is symbolising agriculture, the spade is symbolising mining, ore had been dug directly from the soil. Tools of iron had been made by the local people since around 1200.
