Münster Coat of Arms

Shield enhanced quartered of Gules and Argent, a key Argent in bend under a sword Sable in bend sinister, in base a fess wavy parted per pale of Sable and Argent.
Meaning:
The quartered shield is a differentiation of a Cistercian bar and alluding to the Cistercian Niederschönenfeld Nunnery, which had been an important manorial lord. Key and sword are the attributes of St. Peter and St. Paul, patron saints of the local parish church. The fess wavy is a representation of the Lech River.
