Markt Indersdorf Coat of Arms

Baroque shield parted per pale with mural crown Or; at dexter Argent a fess dancetty Gules; at sinister Azure two lions rampant reguardant addorsed Or, armed and tongued Gules with intertwined tails.
Meaning:
In 1882 King Ludwig II of Bayern elevated the village to a market town. The fess dancetty is the allodial symbol of the Wittelsbach kin. It is also alluding to the Augustine Indersdorf Abbey, founded by the kin and being its preferred family grave in the 12th and 13th century. It was dissolved in 1783. The lions are the apocryphal arms of the Lords of Undersdorf, who donated their namesake village to the Palatine Count Otto V in 1122.
