Miltach Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale of Argent and Azure, sitting above an abased fess wavy in counterchanged tinctures two impending escutcheons, at dexter Sable a draw well Or, at sinister parted per fess fracted of Argent and Sable.
Meaning:
The current municipality had been historically divided by two districts (Bavarian: Hofmarken), Miltach and Altransberg. The escutcheons display the arms of the two families, who ruled the districts between the 17th and 19th century. The canting well (German: Brunnen) is taken from the arms of the Lords of Schönbrunn. The sinister inescutcheon displays the arms of the Leoprechting family, who ruled Altransberg. The fess wavy is symbolising the Weißer Regen, a river, and the Perlbach, a creek.
