Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The blue shield is divided by three silver (=white), wavy bends.
Meaning:
According to source these arms are very old. Its existence can be proven on seals at least since 1587. Probably it existed already in the 15th century. The arms had been new defined in 1920. The colours had been chosen arbitrarily. This version was approved on 24 February 1923 by Prussian ministry of state. The arms are canting.
A similar coat of arms was used in 1420 by a local judge having four bends instead of three. But a relation between both is doubtful.
