Sohland Banner

It is a blue-yellow-blue vertical triband with ratio of stripes 1:3:1. The coat of arms is shifted towards the top in the yellow stripe.

Sohland Coat of Arms

Shield Azure with base wavy Argent, a throughout bridge Or masoned Sable with handrail Sable.
Meaning:
The bridge is a representation of the local heaven´s bridge (German: Himmelsbrücke). The bridge crossed the Spree River. It had been a wooden bridge first, finished in 1709, which was replaced by a bridge of stone, finished in 1796. Due to a legend, a lyer crossing the bridge would cause its collapse. The river was deviated and the bridge nowadays is crossing the village creek.
