Burgebrach Coat of Arms

Shield Gules with base Vert, on top of a fess Azure charged with wavelets Sable a castle Argent with port Sable and windows Sable and Argent, a stepped gable between two embattled towers with cone roofs Azure.
Meaning:
The village became a dominion of the Bishopric of Bamberg by exchange in the late 14th century. It gained the rank of a market town in 1472. The existence of town seals displaying the current pattern is proven since 1514 and is also found on the panel of vassals of the Bishopric of Bamberg from 1603, however there displaying the castle with baroque elements. Castle (German: Burg) and the River Ebrach, represented by the blue fess, together are canting.
