Ebermannsdorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above parted per pale, above right a bishop Argent dressed Gules and Argent, holding a crozier Or by his right hand and a book Sable with three balls Or by his left hand; above left Azure three impending lozenges Argent in fess; beneath Or a boar passant Sable armed Argent.
Meaning:
The bishop is St. Nicolas, the local patron saint of the parish church of Pittersberg, recognisable by his attributes balls and crozier. The lozenges are taken from the family arms of the Barons of Loefen, who owned the Ebermannsdorf Estate from 1602 until 1721. The lozenges are also representing other local kins of noblemen as owners of the low level cognisance and as manorial lords, and they are stressing the Wittelsbach kin as local ruler for centuries. The boar (German: Eber) is a canting element.
