Shield Gules a rebate iron Argent and an axe Argent in saltire, flanked by intials "HF" of the same, chief Argent parted by a facetted cross Gules.
Meaning:
The tools are referring to the fact that the settlement was established by forest clearence. The initials are those of Heinrich Fleckenstein, a master of gaffers, who was mentioned in 1636. He earned great merits and is probably name giver of the village. The name of the village was first mentioned in 1688.The cross is representing St. George, the local patron saint.
