Flag of Pegeia

The flag of Pegeia (photo) is white with the municipal emblem in the center.
The emblem features the town's landmark, the Pegeia Fountain, located on the village's paved square.

The fountain was built in 1908, apparently at the exact spot of an older fountain, by contractor Achilleas Konstantinou. At the time it was the main source of drinkable water for the community, remaining so until 1956.
The fountain has arches and a large water cistern, which could collect a large quantity of water coming out of the rock. The fountain is known all over Cyprus through an old traditional song saying "The Pegeia fountain is filled with arches and all the pretty women from Pegeia come near it”.
