Translated from municipal web site:
"The flag is made of two colours characteristic of the region. Green, forming a triangle placed along the hoist, represents the municipal territory, whose main use is agriculture, cropping, which make us every season even more proud of our land, and greatnes of the villagers, who aspire to build a fair society.
Yellow covers most of the flag, as the colour of the sun, source of light, of faith and of the promising future of our village, a municipality that has won its struggle for autonomy.
The lit torch placed on the yellow field represents power, perseverance and constance exhibited by the villages to build up a triumphal future."
