Flag

The flag was adopted officially through Local Agreement No. 019 of 28 February 2023, in effect on 13 March 2023. The flag of Puente Aranda is a horizontal tricolor of green-white-purple. In its center is a map of the locality, over which the historic Puente de Aranda is seen among green shrubs crossing over the Chinua River. Green is for nature; white is for peace; and purple for gender equality. The bridge is in red for bravery and power, while its background is blue for justice. It was adopted after the council held a public vote after having multiple designs, the public voting ending on 18 February.
