The actual flag and logo were introduced on 1 January 2005, on occasion of the establishment of the FTST. The new association was the result of the unification of the Federazione cantonale ticinese delle società di tiro (est. 1902) and the Federtiro Sportiva Ticinese (est. 1953). (website)
