The actual flag and logo were introduced on 1 January 2001, on occasion of the establishment of the FJT. The new association was the result of the unification of the Société Cantonale Jurassienne de Tir and the Société Jurassienne des Tireurs Sportifs. (website)

The club was established in 1925 through the merger of the clubs Patrie and l’Ancienne (website | club history, French).
Courcelon is a fraction of the Courroux commune.
