A green field with a central seal showing a yellow-edged black ring, white inside, bearing a large green letter A overlain by a silver fox, and below the fox a black ribbon, edged yellow, bearing the name Alberton and incorporation date. Below the seal, a white ribbon proclaiming "THE HEART OF WEST PRINCE".
The written sources describe the new flag with a green background, which is
supported by a photo. There is only one source (CBC News) showing a white flag,
but only as a drawing, while the text nearby states that the flag is green.
Unless I miss something, there is no firm support for a white regular flag.
The public contest for the flag was announced on 16 May 2012 on the

The unfurling of the new flag was announced on 4 May 2013 by CBC News:
"Alberton, P.E.I. will unfurl its new centennial flag on Sunday,
celebrating 100 years of incorporation. The flag will be raised for the first
time Sunday at 2 p.m. at the town hall celebration. (townofalberton.ca). To
commemorate the event, the West Prince town had a contest to design the new
flag. Kelly Gillis' design was chosen. It's a green background with a
circled “A” and silver fox. [...]"

The Town Crest is described on the town website:
"The Town Crest
is circular in shape bearing the words "Prince Edward Island" and "Canada" on
the outer border identifying the province and country in which Alberton is
located. The centre has a stylized letter "A" with a fox placed in front of
the letter. The fox represents the Silver Fox industry which was an industry
that brought great wealth and prominence to Alberton in its earlier days.
Beneath the letter is a banner bearing the words "Alberton" and "Inc. 1913"
indicating the year Alberton was incorporated as a Town."

Similar to the town flag, but on a white field.
