About the Flag

The municipality of Ângulo (2,928 inhabitants in 2019; 10,602 ha) is located 450 km north-west of Curitiba.

Ângulo was established by Basilio Pertsew, Dimitri Novikov and George Felmas on plots acquired from the Companhia de Melhoramentos do Norte do Paraná. Located in the angle made by two roads, the new town was named Ângulo.
The district of Ângulo was established, as part of the municipality of Iguaraçu, by State Law No. 8,670 promulgated on 21 December 1987, and inaugurated on 25 January 1989. The municipality of Ângulo was established by State Law No. 9,357 promulgated on 3 September 1990, and inaugurated on 3 October 1992.

The flag of Ângulo is vertically divided (1:2:1) blue-white-blue with the municipal coat of arms in the center.
