Description of the flag

According to the newspaper El Gran Chaco, the flag of Villa Montes was made official by Law 364 on July 22, 2022. Red is for blood that was spilled by the heroes in the Chaco War. Black is for wealth in its oil. Before this flag started being used unofficially (around when is not certain), Villa Montes used the Gran Chaco provincial symbols as its own, although it was not legally recognized as such. It is not certain when red and black started being associated with Villa Montes.
