Municipality of Hermoso Campo in the Department of Dos de Abril, Chaco, adopted its official flag on 24.08.2013.

"Last Saturday, August 24th, the jury convened for the "A Flag for My Town" Contest, approved by Ordinance No. 990/13 of the Hermoso Campo Deliberative Council, met. Representing the Minister of Education, Professor Sergio Soto, was the President of the Education Council, Professor Griselda Galeano, who headed the jury for this important competition. She was accompanied by the Mayor, Diógenes Aníbal Requena, and other members of the jury, including councilors, a historian, a graphic designer, and other community leaders.

This historic competition resulted in the winning proposal being Envelope No. 4, whose pseudonym is Black Power, for complying with all aspects of the Regulations.
The resolution having been taken in the presence of the local press, Professor Galeano proceeded to identify the author of the winner, who turned out to be Mr. José Luís Morales, a 59-year-old sculptor, draftsman and painter, residing at Avda. Libertador 185 in Hermoso Campo.

The rationale for the selected design: It consists of three undulating fields that begin in the lower sector of the Sheath, moving to the right towards the upper sector of the hinge.
"The first field occupies the upper section of the pod, and its light blue color represents the sky. The central field is white and signifies purity. Meanwhile, the lower field occupies the lower section of the pod, and its green color symbolizes both the characteristic forest of the Chaco region and the cultivated fields. Each of these fields is separated by a brown stripe representing Mother Earth."

"In the center, a sunflower cake stands out like the sun, an emblem of the fruits the earth gives us, and superimposed on it are the stylized initials H and C of Hermoso Campo, drawn in black." Professor Galeano expressed her gratitude "… on behalf of the Ministry and Council of Education for the trust placed in them, congratulating the participants and organizers of Hermoso Campo, a young and progressive city in the interior of Chaco province, which, starting on September 20th, the town's anniversary, will see its flag flying alongside the flags of Chaco and our national flag."
