Western or Chilean Diaguitas lived mainly in the Transverse Valleys incised in a
semi-arid environment. Eastern or Argentine Diaguitas lived in the provinces of La Rioja and Catamarca and part of the provinces of Salta, San Juan and Tucumán.

The Diaguita Nation in the Province of Salta is organized in the Union de los
Pueblos de la Nacion Diaguita en Salta and has interesting flag which is very
similar to the flag of the same nation in the Province of Tucuman,
but the frog is on the left. There are two versions - with and without wide
white bordure. Here are some of the versions.
