Municipal flags in Alleghany County:
"The flag body is a "bluebird" blue color with the County seal in the middle. The coloring of the seal on the flag has all outlines, wording and pictures in black. The outer circle is red and the inner circle (where the
design is) is white. And the seal. "The Alleghany County seal was created by Dr. Gary Pillow, a local audiologist. The wave in the upper portion of the seal near the sun and trees symbolize the Allegheny Mountains. The light blue color
matches one of Alleghany County High School's colors. The simplistic design represents the simple, yet majestic beauty of the Alleghany Highlands. The seal design was adopted by the Alleghany County Board of Supervisors on May 9, 1989."
All information and image of the seal thanks to:
Melissa A. Munsey, Administrative Assistant/Deputy Clerk to the Board, Alleghany County Administrator's Office
