Description of the flag

"The Minnesota Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (MNSHARP), started in 1996, recognizes companies whose managers and employees work together to develop safety and health programs that go beyond basic compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, and result in immediate and long-term prevention of job-related injuries and illnesses. Incentives for participant companies include assistance from the department's Workplace Safety Consultation unit, public recognition for employers and employees, and exemption from Minnesota OSHA scheduled compliance inspection lists."

The program is modeled on the OSHA program of the same name, and includes a special flag for recognized companies to fly. The MNSHARP flag can be seen in several photographs online, including www.nhachamber.comjmhsmn.org, myemail.constantcontact.com, and www.paints.com. The flag consists of the program's logo centered on a white field.
