Description of the flag

Oden Island is an unincorporated community located within Crooked Lake of the County of Emmet. The island, a private community, features a nature preserve located on the northern end of the island. The island is also a pene-exclave attached to Littlefield Township, however you can only enter the community through Springvale Township.

The flag is a white field with the outline of the island in the center, along with the road the connects it to the rest of the Crooked Lakes shoreline. Inside the island is a pair of pine trees, as they cover the island in almost it's entirety. To the left of the trees are a pair of ski poles and skis, with skiing being a common recreational activity in Northern Michigan. To the right of the pines are the lanes and drives that connects the residents of the island. On the upper fly side is a sailboat, as boating is a common activity for lakeside residents. Above and below the island is the community name in red.
