"It was founded in the days of Kyiv Rus' by Volodymyr Sviatoslavovych. The first mention was in Ipatiiv chronicles in 1085. In 1429 in Lutsk there was held the congress of monks of all European countries. The Magdeburg Right was given in 1430."
