Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, two eradicated pine trees Vert fruited Gules, on chief a Marian crown Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "FREGUESIA DE SEVER DO VOUGA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing the Vouga River. The crown is alluding to Our Lady of Conception, patron saint of the municipality.

Sever do Vouga is one of the five communes of Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 2715 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 12,36 km².
