It is a fairly typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a on a quartered background of blue and yellow (town rank).

The arms are Or an arch Sable masoned Argent between two pales wavy Agrent fimbriated Azure and in base two olive branches Vert fruited Sable per pale at their stems. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "BOBADELA - OLIVEIRA DO HOSPITAL".
Meaning:
"Bobadela" means "small vault" (arch. dim. of "abóbada"); the arch on the arms is canting, maybe indirectly (i.e., showing the actual arch which gave name to the town).

Bobadela is one of the 16 communes of Oliveira do Hospital Municipality; it had 759 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 6.0 km².
